Your immune system is one of the most important functions of your body. It is comprised of various cells, tissues, and organs that protect your body from different illnesses and ailments, from the common cold to cancer. Your immune system is your body’s natural defense system. It not only protects you from diseases, but it also regulates your body’s activities.

The stronger your immune system, the healthier you are going to be. If you get sick frequently, it may mean that your immune system is not as strong as it could be. However, there are many safe and natural ways you can boost your immune system. By boosting your immune system, you can ward off illnesses, your body will restore itself faster and stay more youthful. You can do all this just by adding clove essential oil into your daily habits.

What is Clove Essential Oil?

Clove essential oil is a potent antioxidant for your body. This essential oil has been used by Chinese and Indian cultures for thousands of years to restore the human body by boosting its immune system. Clove essential oil is extracted from cloves, which are the dried flower buds of the plant called Eugenia aromatic, an evergreen plant found in Indonesia.

Clove essential oil is effective in boosting your immune system because it is rich in minerals, fiber, and vitamins. Its main ingredient is what that makes it so effective and powerful. Clove essential oil contains a substance called eugenol, which is a powerful agent when it comes to protecting your body from disease. It is very effective in fighting off illness and preventing your body from contracting different bacteria and fungi. Combining menthol with clove essential oil can even help relieve prevent muscle and joint pains.

How to Use Clove Oil

Adding clove essential oil to your food or healthcare products can be a huge boost to your immune system. Adding it to your diet is not difficult since cloves are commonly used as a spice to add a sweet, sour aroma to foods. Try adding the oil to foods like spinach, bread, muffins, pumpkin pie and even cookies.

*Note: use clove essential oil instead of raw cloves, because the cloves themselves are hard and their taste is as strong as their smell.  Be cautious when adding clove essential oil to food. It is very strong and may cause irritation. It is recommended to dilute clove essential oil in water before using it in your food.
